helllllooooo everybody!!!The nunpuns have been on a bit of a sabbatical.......I have been bit by the mixed media bug and it's not been pretty.LOL I'm running out of room cause I can't stop collecting papers, old books, this and that and more. I really need to stop collecting and get better organized. And then out of the blue I get a commision (nunpun on a Harley) for a nunpun painting and realize how much I miss painting them crazy sisters!

The base is wood approx 1" oval. Topped with a silver bead and tiny black satin ribbon is 28" long. Glossy varnish has been added to all sides.

was all about color and shape with just a touch of whimsy.

FAT JAZZ NUNS

Jazz Nunpuns
These fat jazz sisters have the blues!
I painted these jazzy nuns on 24" x 18" artist canvas with acrylics.
Backround is blues with a bit of yellow and white. I used some metalic gold paint on the trumpet and trombone. The clarinet has some silver metalic paint on it.
The sides so have staples, but I have painted them black and it could be hung as is or framed if you like.
I have added varnish and signed and dated the painting.

The party nuns are hitting the wine again.
These paintings really come the "life" when I give them their "attitude".....one of the last things I paint when I am creating these sisters are their faces. I kinda let the painting "happen" not trying too hard to go in one set direction....this one really cracked me up when I was done.
There seems to be a disagreement going on.....two of the sisters look really mad....one looks embarrassed for them and one just can't believe wants going on....but the one in the middle is just here for the party!
